    **THE UPDATE YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR**

    Factions 3.0 is FINALLY HERE! We have worked our socks off for 5 months to complete this update; we think it is the best version of Factions so far to be released on ShadowXCraft!

    This version of Factions runs 1.8.8 with 1.7-1.10.2 compatibility for the best PVP experience. Keep that in mind when creating TNT cannons.


    We spent about 12+ hours' work on the trailer (all credits go to @lizardfreak321 and @X1X_ for editing and recording footage; @xrift_, @ADayToRemember_ and @GalacticFreaky for assisting us with the recording; and @LizardFreak7 for narrating it). We hope it will give you a brief overview of Factions!

    How does Factions version 3.0 differ from the previous versions of Factions?
    • Factions 1.0 wasn't even ours, it was FunkyPVP's- however they abandoned it and I needed to recover it and run it. Later on it was managed by @ItsJoeBrah and the average staff had more perms than today. It lead to exploits that messed it up.
    • Factions 2.0 was developed by me with help from several other staff. It was a very different team back then, and it came out good, but lost its popularity.
    • Factions 3.0 was developed by Kurt and X1X_ and is therefore has a different feel than the other two. Thanks to @tspringst33n and I's coding knowledge, we were able to custom code several plugins, the old factions servers didn't have any custom plugins.

    Custom Enchants
    We implemented Custom Enchants to gameplay.
    It enhances PVP a lot, is fun and contributes to the OPness of factions!
    You can obtain custom enchant books from Enchant Crates found in '/warp enchant'; You can purchase Enchant Crate keys in '/warp shop'.
    Alongside custom enchants, we have obtainable custom items, which will be added later on!

    Crates and WarZone Drops
    We also have loot crates and WarZone drops! For loot crates, you can find them at spawn, or at '/warp enchant'.
    There are four types of crates: Voting, Normal, Mystic and Shadow. You can purchase keys at our server store: http://donate.shadowxcraft.net/ More details at '/warp keys'.
    There are two current types of enchant crates: Basic and Standard. More crates will be released soon!
    WarZone Drops can be found at random locations throughout the WarZone. There is a low chance of the crate being a Mystic or a Shadow, but Normal still does sometimes bear great rewards!

    Bosses
    We have custom coded bosses for this version of factions! Currently, there is only one boss- Aragod (spider). It requires a Boss Key (only possible to obtain through envoy chests in the WarZone) to unlock the boss! If you are in the radius of the boss when it is unlocked, you will particpate in the battle as well. People cannot interact if they didn't join the battle initially.
    WARNING: BOSSES ARE DESIGNED TO BE EXCEPTIONALLY HARD TO KILL.
    We spent several weekends on this feature, we hope you enjoy it!

    Events
    Events will happen randomly and you can join with '/warp event'! Bear in mind that this feature will be added in the first reset of Factions 3.0 (in about 6-8 months' time).

    Shop
    The new shop is simpler and farming-focused. It is significantly more OP than the former shop.
    Donors have access to '/sell hand' and '/sell all'.

    Resets
    Factions will reset every 6-8 months, with new features every time. Why resets? Without resets people run out of things to do, and new players are no match for the larger, more established factions.

    • @KurtTheFruit: Taking the initiative to start this. He managed development, especially early on in development. He worked on builds, ideas, and the overall setup.
    • @X1X_: For managing development later on. He helped with builds, ideas, setup, and helped with the custom features.
    • @lizardfreak321 (Me): Overseeing the project, helping with perms, coding the custom plugins, and fixing bugs.
    • @JackShadowPyrez: Helping with the builds and ideas.
    • @tspringst33n: For working on the AirDrops plugin.

    One day we we're thinking about a "Spider Boss" name. Someone mentioned "Aragog", so my fruit mind exploded and thought about "Aragod" which is a combination of "Arachnid" and "God". Thats how the Aragod name was born.

    HCF would be a great addition to sxc.. No other (Cracked/permium) server has HardCore Factions. Some say they do but they don't.

    At the moment shadowxcraft has too many sub-servers. They will try to sort things out.

    ... How do you know this? Maybe @lizardfreak321 thinks there needs to be MORE sub-servers. (I doubt it..) But HCF may make the server more popular, fac 3.0 release got a ton of new people (atleast for a few days), and fac is a common server type.

    And since we spent so much time on this version of Factions, to make a HCF all we would need to do is change a few plugins, create new hard-core spawns re-balance everything, then open it up.

    I bet that is a decent amount of work.. Would take some time? Ik creating spawns, re-balance and changing around some plugins can take some time and effort :)

    When you kill the ara god in less than 5seconds, cmon add more bosses. And about the hcf then, you want to die faster? ;v
