Shop Release!

    Hey Everyone!

    I have finally finished making the final changes to the shop. The new shop is now active and I have added a button in the header to get to the shop. There may be slightly longer processing times for right now as we have just released this version. I did add a contact / help button to the shop page to ask any questions you may have. As always feel free to reply to this news release. If you have an issue specific to you, please use the shop help button instead.

    Reminder:
    All purchased ranks will require a code to redeem the rank. This code will be mailed to the buyer in addition to an object as a token to show off the rank purchased and support the server. All of the tokens have been designed and manufactured by the staff. When the code is received all the supporter needs to do is join the server and type "/redeem code" without quotes.


    Recap from the last update:

    UI (User Interface):
    The new shop experience will be similar to the prior shop. There will be a rank option as well as additional tabs in the future. The shop will ask you for your country. This is to help simplify the international processing of the purchases. If there are any issues using the shop, click the 'Help' button on the right of the shop to start a conversation and get help.​

    Who Can Purchase Ranks:
    Another new thing in this shop will now allow for cracked users to purchase ranks. This will make the shop available to everyone who has joined the server.​

    Changes for Current Donors:
    All current donors will have their ranks converted into our new shop ranks. The process of this transition is listed below.​

    Donor to Shop Rank Transition:
    • Stage 1: Website update. This will be changing the tags on the website and sending a message to all affected users notifying them of the change. This has been completed
    • Stage 2: Server update. This will be the change of the prefixes on the server.
    • Stage 3: Update of permissions on the server. The new permissions will be for the new ranks. Once we begin this stage, all current donors will need to go to each sub-server to have their perks given.
    STAGE 2 & 3 are still in progress. They will be completed soon.

    I really like the shop interface , however , the other shop and this shop have one thing in common , they are not flashy and attractive.They just don't look like something people would say " Hey! This looks good , I like the server and now the buycraft too! Lemme get a rank" about. (<--That was a joke)

    The pros are -

    -The shop gets the job done easily.

    -There are only 4 ranks , so it is easy for choosing what to buy.

    -The code redeeming system is pretty nice.

    -The new rank names are beautiful, I almost feel like marrying them. (OYA)


    The Cons are -

    -The page looks like it was made in a hurry

    -It has a few mistakes (Grammer) here and there.

    -Rank description is not that informative , it is compressed into a small space and may look like they just aren't getting enough perks. ( spread the lines out)

    -The "Anti-Fraud" MIGHT scare a few conservative parents who don't know too much about Ip's and may think that their ip would get leaked.

    -The "Anti-Fraud" does not show my ip , however it does show my DNS , which is not something that can be used against someone if they chargeback.

    -The rank pictures don't match with the background, and looks kind of unprofessional.

    Yes, there were many cons but I mentioned them so that they can be sorted out , it's not like I hate the shop, just that I care about it. I really like a few ideas implemented, like showing off who bought what, and the choice of only 4 ranks ( I really like this one ).

    Anyways, I'm going to be headed out as I have to manage a community xD. So good luck tsprings and all of the staff team! Make 'em proud

    Where are those found?

    I'm not sure why parents would be worried about something which assures the privacy of their IP address.

    It shows my IP when I view it.

    How can we improve in these aspects?

    Most payment processors do state that the IP address is being logged for the purchase. This information is only needed/used when there is an issue with the transaction. The Privacy Policy states how that information is collected and used. It can be viewed at: https://www.shadowxcraft.net/help/privacy/


    Domain Name Servers (DNS) are the Internet's equivalent of a phone book. They maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. The chargeback procedure is still the same even if the IP address is invalid. The full shop Terms of Service can be viewed at: https://www.shadowxcraft.net/help/shop-terms/

    What I meant is that , me and you know this stuff , but parents who are not too fond of the internet and don't know how most things work might think it's a scam , you should not show them their ip xD
