2018 New Year Update

    Hello everyone!

    2018 will be the year of revival for ShadowXCraft! We’re starting it out with the release of Parkour, and then we’re going to follow it with the release of Prison’s replacement.

    First I want to note that we have discontinued our Teamspeak server. It wasn’t used that much, it cost money to run, and it was just another thing we needed to keep track of. From now on, please use Discord. The link to join is on the home page.

    Regarding Parkour:
    Parkour has been in development for a while now, and this morning we had our first release, after much hard work and time contributed by the development team! As is obvious, Parkour is a sub-server where you can select maps and courses to parkour on!

    Featuring:
    • Courses you can choose, varying in difficulty!
    • Leaderboards to show off the quickest jumpers!
    • Personal records you can beat!
    • A checkpoint system in every course!
    • Retro-styled maps, from the old days of ShadowXCraft!
    • Easter eggs!
    • And more coming soon!

    The people credited for development of the sub-server can be found north-west of spawn.

    This sub-server will get updates over time wherein we will add new features to improve your experience! Of course, suggestions are always welcome! We hope you have an enjoyable time on Parkour!

    Regarding Prison’s replacement:
    Prison’s replacement has been in development for a very long time now: planning started April 5, 2015. The plan has changed so much since then, all for the better. We had never imagined such an advanced server back in 2015. We’re still not ready for release, since we’re still working on both the storyline and the functionality.

    To give you an idea on how this is going, I taught X1X_ how to script with code. I even taught him some physics!

    Once the server is complete it will enter a phase of staff testing to ensure that all of the custom code, script and gameplay is balanced and working properly.


    To conclude, we are making major advancements, and we plan to improve the server significantly this new year. We hope you have a Happy New Year!

    Really looking forward to it. Hope the prison revamp will bring back some of the older player base that have been waiting for Prison 2.0 for a while. Cannot wait for it, keep up the good work.
