Factions 3.0 - Suggestions!

Hey everyone! I'm pretty sure most of you have already seen the FactionsDev server, I'm here to reveal some things that are in there!

What is FactionsDev?
- Due to Factions 2.0's economy being destroyed by duplicated items, we have decided that there will be a FULL FACTIONS RESET, this means that it's not just a map or inventory reset, it's everything. Your ranks, kits, money, inventory, enderchests, bases, claims, factions, all wiped out.

- We have also decided that it will not just be a simple reset, making it Factions 3.0 instead of Factions 2.1, the new version of factions will have different features!

- The CombatLog glitch that doesnt kill players is now fixed
- Duplication Glitch (Fixed by lizardfreak321!)

This post was made just to keep you all updated. Factions 3.0 is being worked on by the staff team. Factions 2.0 will be updated soon.

List of custom enchants:
Global Enchantments

• Lifesteal - Gives you half a heart back whenever you punch an enemy.
• Blind - Blinds the Enemy.
• Deathbringer - Doubles your Damage.
• Gooey - Hitting your enemy rapidly causes the enemy to be flinged into the air.
• Poison - Poisons your enemy.
• Block - Blocking with a Sword increases your Resistance.
• Ice Aspect - Slows your enemy on hit. Has a Chance to freeze an enemy Player.
• Shockwave - Upon hitting an enemy, you hurl up the ground in front of you.
• Autorepair - Automatically repairs your Armor/Weapon after you started it via shift + rightclicking.
• Crippling Strike - Cripples your enemy on hit.
• Thundering Blow - Upon hitting an enemy, you have a chance to strike Lightning onto it.
• Vampire - Heals you by half of your damage.
• Deep Wounds - Upon hitting an enemy, you have a chance of causing it to bleed.
• Charge - Attacking while sprinting increases your damage.
• Aerial - Attacking while airborne increases your damage.
• Wither (Thanks to phoenixlzx) - Withers your enemy on hit.
• Headless (Thanks to rpgrowland, IAmNotPopular and hetjoshi) - Gives you the head of an enemy you killed.
• Disarming - Disarms the enemy.

Tools only

• Explosive - When destroying a block that your tool was meant for you cause an explosion that breaks similar blocks arround that.
• Smelting - When destroying a block, get the smolten products of this block.
• Energizing - Allows you to dig faster for a tiny moment after breaking something.
• Quickening - Breaking a block will give you a temporary speed boost.

Bow only

• Bombardment - Bombards the Player on hit.
• Lightning - Strikes your enemy with a Lightning.
• Firework - The arrow constantly spawns fireworks for 5 seconds. May cause lag if spammed ( arround 50 arrows at once ).
• Paralyze - Slows, Blinds and Weakens your enemy completely.
• Molotov - Attaches a molotov to the arrow, tends to start fires.
• Volley (First merged contribution! Thanks to fantasm0) - Fires multiple arrows in a cone in front of you.
• Wither (Thanks to phoenixlzx) - Applies the Wither effect to your enemy.
• Piercing (Thanks to Hetjoshi) - Ignores your enemy's armor.
• Shuffle (Thanks to Darkman_Bree) - Switches your position with your enemy's position.
• Bounty Hunter (Thanks to Darkman_Bree) - Gives you bounty when you hit another player.
• Healing (Thanks to rpgrowland and hetjoshi) - Heals your target for 1 heart per level.
• Blaze (Thanks to PrinceeeMC) - Shoots fireballs instead of arrows.

Armor only

• Molten - Sets the enemy that hit you on fire.
• Enlighted - Heals you when hit.
• Hardened - Applies Weakness to the enemy that hit you.
• Poisoned - Poisons the enemy that hit you.
• Frozen - Slows the enemy that hit you.
• Obsidianshield - Gives you Fireresistance.
• Shielded - Gives you a regenerating shield.
• Revulsion - Applies Nausea to the enemy that hit you.
• Self Destruct - Spawn live TNT on death.
• Cursed (Thanks to phoenixlzx) - Applies the Wither effect to your enemy.
• Endershift (Thanks to Hetjoshi) - Revitalizes you when severely wounded, giving you a speed boost and some hp to run away with.
• Drunk - Gives slowness, mining fatigue and confusion to attackers.
• Berserker - When low on health, you gain extreme strength.
• Cloaking - When hit, you gain stealth for a few seconds.

Boots only

• Gears - Boots. Gives you a Speedboost.
• Springs - Boots. Gives you a Jumpboost.
• Stomp - Boots. If you land on an enemy and would normally get Falldamage, you give the Falldamage you would take on the enemy, negating the damage for you.

Helmet only

• Implants - Automatically replenishes your Food/Airbar when moving.
• Glowing - Gives you Nightvision.

Still here. Custom items are also listed:

• Minigun - Bow. Fires a series of arrows. Does not work with any other enchantment.
• Beastmaster's Bow - Bow. Spawns Zombies when a Player is hit. Doubles your damage vs Monsters.
• Necromancer's Staff of Destruction - Stick. Leftclick to change Mode. First Staff, has 3 Modes for causing Devastation.
• Hookshot Bow - Bow. Has 2 Modes. Leftclick to change Mode. One to pull the enemy you hit to you, the other to launch you to the enemy.
• Rocket Boots - Boots. Activated by leftclicking while holding them. Crouch and Rightclick while you have them equipped to fly! (Requires an item in your hand)
• Power Gloves - Nether Quartz. Rightclick any Entity to pick it up and Rightclick again to launch it into the air.
• Assassin's Blade - Sword. Rightclick to hide yourself from enemies. Striking an enemy causes you to disappear. Attacking out of Invisibility doubles your damage, but leaves you vulnerable.
• Landmine - Block. Explodes when a Player steps on it.
• Deathscythe - Hoe. Upon leftclicking in the direction of an nearby Enemy, you pull him towards you.
• Pyroaxe - Axe. Hitting burning Enemies tripples your damage.
• Thor's Axe - Axe. Rightclicking a Block causes Lightning to strike down at the Block's Location.
• Flamethrower - Flint and Steel. Shoots fire upon rightclicking. Reloads automatically while you are holding the item.
• Hermes Boots - Boots. Permanently gives you a Speed Boost while wearing the Boots.
• Livefire Boots - Boots. You leave a Burning trail and permanently gain Fire Resistance while wearing the Boots.
• (Swimsuit - Armor. You can stay underwater.... forever!) Not reimplemented yet
• Medikit - Anything. Heals you upon Rightclicking.
• Potionlauncher - Anything. Put a Potion in the Slot to the right of it and fire away!
• Bandage - Paper. Heals you, or a Player you hit with it, over a certain amount of Time. Has the Strengths Minor, Normal, Tough and Heavy (i.e /ench Bandage Heavy)
• Poison Ivy - Block. Poisons players that walk through it.
• Piranha Trap - Block. Causes a Bleed to players that walk through it.
• Bear Trap - Block. Cripples players that walk through it.
• Prickly Block - Block. Hurts players that walk near it.
• Healing Shovel - Shovel. Hurting players heals them instead. Has the Strengths Minor and Major (i.e /ench Healingshovel Minor)
• Druid Boots - Boots. You become faster and regenerate when on Leaves, Dirt and Grass.

 

Whatever method you choose, I presume. The golden apple delays are to balance the gameplay and make it more fair.

 

The enchantments have been balanced to fit the game, gooey only has a 10% chance of tossing you up in the air. Blindness and some other OP CustomEnchants are disabled/nerfed too.

The Minigun may get disabled, although I made it so that it only shoots 5 arrows per shot. I can still decrease that if you guys want me to.

McMMO is not final, I can disable the combat mcmmo skills too since we may have OP enchants.

 

We might make it so that it will just ban you for 5-10 minutes.

 

We do have RuneCrafting added in this update. I'd prefer Expanded Enderchests rather than playervaults. Races and Classes is a pretty good idea too, but we already have custom kits that can be obtained in crates, supplydrops, or even server-wide events. Custom World Generation is kinda complicated, we can try to implement that if the players really want it.

We will have new ranks though! We won't be copying other Factions servers, the server's goal is to be unique!

It's just a suggestion, we're still gathering opinions about it. Who knows, It might not be added!

 

The issue with the interplanetary setup is the high maintenance, it would take time away from other projects. We also do not have as large of a player-base than earlier this year, so it would be harder to fill those Factions servers with players.

 

If you have a very bad pc, then yes, some custom enchants have particles in them. Around 3-5 of them will make you lag. I have an average pc and I still get smooth fps while pvping with custom enchants.
