What I dislike about ShadowXCraft

Because I plan to come back to playing regularily on the server, I thought it would be great to share my thoughts on it with you guys, this time, it'll be about what I dislike, feel free to share your thoughts aswell.

1. I don't plan on talking about the player count, nor will I complain about how the server is "dead", I just want to mention that not once has the server tried to publicly advertise for itself, let's face it, voting doesn't do anything.

2. Development is limited and slow, and staff members -some of them- who are supposed to help aren't doing anything, but yeah, school comes first, just, what about other servers that can still get things done regardless of real-life commitments?

3. rJay once mentioned in a separate thread that most large servers are understaffed and have members that lack experience, I have to say that even ours is lacking, we need builders, a LOT of them, Kurt is feeling a bit lonely, for a small community, not a lot of helpers and chat moderators are needed.

4. Off-Topic isn't a good place for discussing server matters and criticism, because threads need to be approved, such strict behavior can be annoying sometimes -don't get me wrong, it IS necessary sometimes, but, well... You get it-

5. Contributing to the server is also limited, the staff team usually get things done alone, build-offs don't get much attention, reach out to players more, the community is needed.

If something comes onto my mind, I'll update the thread, feel free to let me know what do you think.

Thank you so much for your feedback and I am happy to express how things really are, "behind the scenes". I understand where you are coming from with all the points you've addressed above. However, many aren't 100% correct and I'd like to express to you how things really are.

Advertising something takes time.
The team behind SXC is working hard towards this issue and will be making big improvements very soon. I am very passionate about marketing and get paid to do it. So from experience, I know; In order to get people to engage with an advertisement the server needs to have a "difference". If we advertised the server now there wouldn't be anything that really made us different than any other server. So it would not really excite players enough to play.

We are currently waiting to advertise until Prison2 is released, as well as several other games that are being talked about now. Please do not think that we are neglecting the player count issue. We are simply waiting until it is the right time to advertise.

Development is not as fast as it could be.
We have also noticed this issue and are currently working on it. I am a new Staff member and will dedicate an incredible amount of my time to decrease the time it will take to develop the server.

Please don't relate another server to our server. Everyone is different. Servers that are able "to get things done regardless of real-life commitments" are typically adults and have a salary job already. The Staff members of ShadowXCraft are still working towards getting a job and education so that we are capable of investing more time into the server. Without money we would not be able to support this server.

I want this too. I will address this issue with the Staff and I'll invest lots of time finding ways to increase the community engagement.

I know I didn't address all the issues you stated but I hope your eyes are somewhat more open then they were. We are working towards these issues and are working vigorously on fixing them. Thank you for taking the time out of your day and expressing how you feel.

Alright, it's been far too long for prison 2 to be released. Normally, I don't see any updates on it. Staff members now are quite busy with schools, colleges and work. Leaving the players behind. Atleast leave someone to it, someone who's free and available at all times. Like what mineral said, we need more builders. Players have donated to the server and we have no idea what is it being used for. We want updates, sneak peaks. More to it. I'm quite disappointed at the fact where there's a new release of a sub-server like factions 3.0 but within a week, no one plays it.

Daily updates, bring the trailers! We want a huge picture or a video of the newly released updates/server. By just saying "Prison 2 is released" with a picture at the top and more information below. We want to see a big screen for it. A good video, get a good youtuber to help in for your advertisements. It turns out boring to just keep waiting. Currently, skyblock is good, but we want more updates to it. I'm just saying this but comparing to other servers. They come out with daily fun updates.

I understand that it takes time for everything, but it doesn't make a difference, you need to accept more players who wants to be a staff member, they could really help out and speed out the time. Face it, the hype is gone. To be smart, you should have said that Prison 2 will be releasing soon in like a month before its big released rather than just saying it to get players hyped and then lost. Maybe a big change needs to go on, a big update changing everything. A one by one update is just lame. Maybe events could help. Christmas is coming soon so a change, event should happen. Re-creations of maps.

lmao you said it is like +so easy HAHA, but i am telling is not as easy as what you think doe, staffs are extremely busy with their school or work besides it was already stated that their daily lives comes first followed by the server and they are already trying their busy. How about you take a chill pill ya haha.

Nothing is funny here..I'm just stating my thoughts, I understand that staffs are going through a lot with school and work but still you can't just leave the server blank. This is the reason why there's staffs. To help out when the owner isn't available. I'm just stating my thoughts here, you don't need to laugh over it.
