Upcoming Factions Version 3.0 Release

Hello everyone,

For the past several weeks, those participating in the development have been working long hours to try to get this released. Unfortunately I have no choice but to delay the release.

For the most part it is just @X1X_ and I working on it. Others are helping, but for the most part everyone else is either busy with life or does not have interest in Factions. @KurtTheFruit started version 3.0, but his internet went out for several weeks, leaving him with little communication with us, and he has been busy with stuff in real life.

We are correctly working on the trailer, which will be nice and professional; we want to advertise to some new players so they can join you in the fun We aren't rushing this trailer.

Every step of the way we have found ways we can improve things, and each of them takes time. I have found ways to improve ItemTracker, my custom anti-duplication plugin. We are finding small things we can change to make the overall experience better. We are not cutting corners so we are doing everything we can to make this the best Factions release so far.

There are several custom aspects of this release that make this release better than all other releases, and better than many other servers. We have spent several weekends working and debugging the custom code to ensure that it will be a fun experience unlike other factions servers.

Donors have had access for a week now. If you are a donor, please look for any glitches that can be exploited by players, especially duplication glitches. If you find any of them you will be rewarded after it resets on the day it gets released to the public.

Factions version 3.0 will be reset and released to the public at 3:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time, the time in New York City) on Saturday, November 12. See you then! Get there quickly to claim the best land!

 

I have been coding on the way back and forth from school

 

I wish I could just teleport to my college or drive there instead of using the bus... I went to the bus stop on time according to the transits website and that was actually 5 min late for that bus, ended up 27 min late for class but the teacher didn't mind.
Since my family is getting a new car, it might be possible for me to cancel with the buses and start driving that instead. Either ways, I'm not going to do the second year of my program if I have to use the bus, just too stressful as it require me to wake up much earlier, causing sleep deprivation along with the bus ride being soo inactive it make me even more sleepy. (My energy run on activity, as soon as I go inactive, I slowly fall asleep XD)

 

Nah, bikes are better than buses.

 

This weekend will be the release, as said in the thread.

 

Just a note: we will be rolling new updates every season, when Factions resets. An by seasons, I mean 6-8 months, or even a year if updates are large or there is a lot of them.
