Hello everyone! Factions 2.0 has been in development for quite a long time now. (Sorry it has taken so long) During that time, it has been in ALPHA. It lacked features (Because we weren't done), and there were a lot of problems, like, for example, not being about to kill the pigs at spawn (That are there for food). All bugs should be fixed. Yesterday Factions 2.0 BETA was released to the donors! Join with the command /server factions2 Why not everyone? Well.. What if something goes catastrophically wrong? Do you want to be one of the staff that gets bombarded with complaints that they lost all of their hard work?? We didn't think so! A reminder to all BETA testers: There is no warranty! That means that you MAY loose your data! So don't complain if we need to reset anything for any reason. We will try our best to avoid data reset though. Factions 2.0 is a 100% redo of the old version of Factions on ShadowXCraft. Nothing is there from the old version! Please don't ask for anything from the old version of factions. Two reasons: The old factions has gotten very corrupt, as in everything is off balance. Many things are incompatible! The old factions server uses a lot of plugins that rely on your in-game name to keep track of your data. The advantage to that is if you upgrade to premium with the same name, you keep your data. The downside is that if you changed your name, you lost a lot of data. All plugins in Factions 2.0 use UUIDs (Universal Unique IDentifiers)! Your UUID does not change when you change your name. Enjoy the ability to change your name without ANY data loss!! Factions 2.0 is very different than the old version! We are using a different version of the Factions plugin. So far, the Apha testers have liked it. The worldborder is 7000. That MAY get larger if the world gets too crowded, keep that in mind if you have a corner/edge base!!! The shop now uses item frames like Survival, BYE BYE OFF BALANCE GUI SHOP!! The shop is less "OP" than the old shop. We didn't want to stray too far from the awesome vanilla minecraft experience. This may increase the time required to make your base, but if you think of it, that's a good thing, because all of the lazy players will have bases that are easy to raid! The ranks are much better now! /rankup Each player rank gets another home every time you rankup, more playervault (/pv) space, and better kits! They ranks aren't the cheapest, but what's the fun if you don't have a challenge? There is an anti-glitch plugin installed. Some of you may not like this, but it makes factions a lot more fair. Bye bye are those idiots that duplicate an overpowered item, making themselves rich, or those other annoying players that take advantage of glitches to raid your powerful base! Some things I may have forgotten. More unique features will be added soon. Just let us know what ones you want in the comments! (Just don't suggest things that are already added) As I covered earlier, factions 2.0 has been in development for a while. A lot of players and staff made this happen. It is very open to change, especially if we add a lot of things. Once it is out of BETA all of you will be able to join, and the old factions will be DEMOLISHED by all of you! Remember to have fun!!
